Ms. Amani Hassan, Principal 

Welcome to Daniel Webster School!

My name is Amani Hassan and I am the principal of DWS.  Prior to becoming a principal, I was an elementary school teacher for 15 years.  I am certified to teach K-6  as well as ESL k-12th.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania.  My first Master’s Degree is in Urban Education from NJCU.  My second Master’s Degree is in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University.  

At Daniel Webster School, it is our mission to provide a safe and enriching learning environment where all students’ intellectual, social, and emotional growth are nurtured and developed.  DWS staff are committed to prioritizing the academic and emotional wellbeing of every student.

We hope to work closely with parents to instill the values of integrity, respect, responsibility, fairness, honesty, caring, and citizenship in our students to strengthen the social fabric of the school and community.  

At DWS, we have a special and unique opportunity to have an immense impact on our students during this critical period of learning.   Students will leave DWS with the necessary academic and social skills to excel in their continued journeys.  Moreover, they will leave here with an invigorated curiosity, a love for learning, and a strong foundation of good citizenship.
